Questions

Questions

This week I have questions.

If I believe that God is the creator of the universe and all mankind, and I do, am I not required to follow Him fully?

If I believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He came to the earth through a virgin birth and that He died on the cross to save me, and I do, am I not then required to follow Him fully?

If I believe that the Bible is the complete and inerrant Word of God, and I do, am I not then required to follow it fully?

If I believe that God’s Word is THE truth, and I do, am I not required to follow it fully?

If I believe that there is actually right and wrong that is decided by God and not by people, and I do, am I not then required to follow that path?

If I am a disciple of Jesus and confess to be a Christian, and I am, am I not then obligated to stand for that truth?

If I can’t follow God/Jesus fully because of my sinful nature, and I don’t, am I then allowed to compromise His truth and the Word of God (Bible)?

If I believe that God is a God of love, and I do, am I not required to allow others to have a differing opinion without hatred in my heart?

If I believe that God is a God of grace, and I do, am I not required to offer grace to others even in the heat of disagreement?

If I believe that God is just, and I do, am I the judge of others or must I leave room for God’s justice?

If I believe I am right, based on God’s Word, and others are wrong, based on the same, and sometimes I do, does that give me the right to be judge and jury?

If the world hates me because of my beliefs, and it might, am I not required to follow Jesus to the cross?

If Jesus offers forgiveness even after experiencing the crucifixion, and He does, am I not required to offer the same?

Stay tuned for next week’s post where I will attempt to answer these questions.
