Episode 260: I’m Talkin. . .Thankful
I’m talking episode 260 for April 9th 2023 this is Joel from the I’m talking microcast where I share my thoughts on a topic that has piqued my interest this past week this week we’re talking thankful and herein lies the challenge for those of us who call ourselves Christians I’m jumping right into how we need to be thankful as believers in Jesus Christ because this is a big day for us as believers this is the day that we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and this is the culmination of the Holy Week starting from Palm Sunday and and reaching its climax at Jesus returned from the death his resurrection after the experience of facing the cross and when we put all of that into perspective what Jesus did for us what he went through to save us from our sins so that we could stand righteous before a holy God the work that Jesus did on the cross the work that Jesus did in the grave the work that Jesus did in his resurrection means that we are to be forever thankful and that is a difficult thing for us to do in the world in which we live but I’m going to challenge us to do just that for the rest of our lives regardless of circumstances whether things are going your way or not going your way based on whoever decides those things whether in pain whether in happiness whether in sorrow we learn to be thankful people all based on what Jesus did for us the work of Jesus on the cross and his death and his resurrection our mindset is always that of thankful because we get to live with him forever because he died for our sins we do not have the right to not be thankful we do not have the right to pout and mope we have the glorious choice to be thankful to a God who loved us so much he sent his only son to die for our sins we get to be thankful because we serve a risen Savior unlike any other religion belief system whatever we serve a deity who came as man humbled himself even to death on a cross so that we could be called his children so that we could be saved from our sins the ultimate sacrifice we therefore always should have an adult attitude of thankfulness and because of that we will draw others to who Jesus Christ is and what he means to us and we will successfully live in such a way that we bring glory to God until next week this is Joel from the I’m talking microcast
